The training at the Naval Academy is conducted in English and Bulgarian. Foreign students are required to take a nine-month preparatory course comprising training in Bulgarian, English, Physics and Mathematics. This training is organized during the first academic year by the Postgraduate Studies Department of the Naval Academy./the respective departments of the Naval Academy.
The training at the Naval Academy is conducted in following specialties:
- Navigation;
- Ship Power Plants;
- Electrical Engineering;
- Administration and management;
The duration of education is 4 years (8 semesters) provided on a full-time basis. The education finishes with state exams.
The annual tuition fees for foreign citizens from non-EU Member States (art. 95 par. 6 of the Higher Education Act), for the qualification degrees “Bachelor” and “Master” (after “Bachelor” degree) in English in the professional branch “Transport, shipping and aviation” (as per Decree of the Council of Ministers № 104/28.04.2015) are as follows:
- full-time students – 3,000 EUR
- extra-mural students – 1,750 EUR
- language preparatory course – 3,000 EUR
The annual tuition fees for foreign citizens from non-EU Member States (art. 95 par. 6 of the Higher Education Act), for the qualification degrees “Bachelor” and “Master” (after “Bachelor” degree) in Bulgarian in the professional branch “Transport, shipping and aviation” (as per Decree of the Council of Ministers № 96/17.05.2012) are as follows:
- full-time students – 3,000 EUR
- extra-mural students – 1,750 EUR
- language preparatory course – 3,000 EUR
The annual tuition fees for PhD students in technical and social studies – for foreign citizens from non-EU Member States (art. 95 par. 6 of the Higher Education Act) are:
- full-time students – 3,000 EUR
- extra-mural students – 1,750 EUR
The annual tuition fees for foreign citizens from EU Member States and EEA (European Economic Area) EFTA Member States is given in the table below and can be paid in one or two instalments .
