From 8 to 12 June 2017 the Rector of Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy – Flotilla Admiral Prof Boyan Mednikarov, along with Commander Associate Prof. Miroslav Tsvetkov from the Navigation Department, took part in the IV Conference for cooperation in education between China and countries from Central and Eastern Europe.

During the conference Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy was represented by its own stall covering the education at the Academy, the research activities there, and the participation of lecturers and students in European projects. Commander Associate Prof. Miroslav Tsvetkov delivered a presentation on the subject of SMART GPS.

The Naval Academy representatives also visited the University of Shanghai and had a meeting with the management of the University to hold talks to establish mutual cooperation in the area of science and education, about the training and exchange of students and lecturers, and about joint participation in research projects.

The conference was attended by representatives of 15 universities from Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Serbia, and Romania.
