The mission of department “Information terchnologies” is to form in the seafarers the required theoretical knowledge and practical skills for working with computers with the purpose of meeting the national and European demand for personnel in the military and civilian sphere. The mission is accomplished by developing modern educational facilities, by applying contemporary forms of education and by taking part in scientific research, which positions the department staff in a proper place in the European Research Space.
