The NCO College is running a basic military training course for newly enlisted volunteer sailors and petty officers. The course is being attended by sailors from different Navy units. Along with the study of disciplines like Drill, Weapons training, CBRNE defence, Tactics, and other basic military disciplines, the newly enlisted sailors are also acquiring the fundamental skills and rules for steering and using a row boat at sea. The lessons in Seamanship are conducted in the Boat Facility of the Naval Academy, and they teach the safety precautions for operating at sea, the construction and the equipment of a row boat, and other basic seamanship habits and skills.
As a member of the Navy, every servicemember must have the knowledge and skills for working at sea. The course goes on until 13 April 2017 and finishes with examinations in different disciplines from the curriculum.
