From 24 April 2017 to 26April 2017 Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy is being visited by Navy Captain Petro Goncharenko, Director of the Naval Institute at the Odessa Maritime Academy National University, Ukraine, accompanied by Lieutenant Junior Grade Evegniya Semenenko. The purpose of the visit is to discuss some elements from NATO’s Defence Education Enhancement Programme (DEEP) directed at the military education system in Ukraine.

Today, 24 April 2017, Flotilla Admiral Prof. DSc, the Rector of the Naval Academy, gave briefing to present the structure, academic staff, curricula types, current state of the facilities at the Academy with the newest acquisitions with regard to simulation equipment, laboratories, lecture halls and classrooms. Later, the visitors were given a tour around the Academy and personally acquainted themselves with the conditions for training military cadets and civilian students.

The second day from the visit of the Ukrainain guests is related to discussions about segments from DEEP related to naval education and the staff of lecturers, the organisation of joint courses, etc.
