INVITATION LETTER
DEAR LADIES AND GENTLEMEN,
In accordance to the Strategic goals and recommendations for the EU’s maritime transport policy it is of key interest for the EU to achieve and maintain stable and predictable global competitive conditions for shipping and other maritime industries. In order to achieve this goal high-quality human resources performance is needed giving more attention to developing advanced skills and qualifications.
In this connection Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy (NVNA) politely invites you to take part in multiplier event “Modern tools for improving the marine trainees’ skills”. The event will be held on February 15, 2018 from 1430 hours in NVNA – Varna, lecture hall №11.
The event is part of the DivSea project – „Diversification of seafarers’ employability paths through collaborative development of competences and certification” – Erasmus+ Key Action 2 project in the field of Strategic partnership for vocational education and training with beneficiary – Constanta Maritime University (CMU), Romania and partners – Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy (NVNA), Bulgaria –- European Association of Career Guidance (EACG), Cyprus and – Stichting STC-GROUP, Netherlands.
During the event the project will be presented and its main goals. Main issues related to the challenges faced by modern maritime education will be addressed. Representatives of the project team will present the results of the key activities related to the development of up-to-date courses providing adequate knowledge, skills and understanding to those involved in, or willing to engage in the maritime industry.
We sincerely hope to accept our invitation and to be guests in the event. This is an opportunity to join forces together around our common goal to improve qualification in the maritime industry and to overcome gaps in knowledge and skills.
