The third-year military cadet Nadezhda Stoyanova Ivanova, a major in Navigation for the Navy, has returned from sailing onboard the training vessel T/S PIRIREIS UNIVERSITESI, owned by the Turkish university of the same name.
Together with another 200 civilian students and military cadets from other educational institutions, cadet Ivanova went on a two-month voyage from 10 July to 10 September 2016. She shared that she had enhanced her theoretical and practical knowledge of navigation, while also practising her English language skills. The new acquaintances and friendships were extremely valuable for cadet Ivanova. During her practical training lectures, rowing sessions and different types of rescue operations were conducted on a daily basis, and she was also introduced to watchkeeping onboard.
