From 25 July to 29 July 2016, there was a Seamanship Training Camp in Constanta, Romania, with the participation of cadets from Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy. It was organised as part of the cadet exchange programme between the two countries. Following a visit by trainees from Mircea cel Batran Naval Academy to the camp of their Bulgarian counterparts, they now received four of our first-year cadets majoring in Navigation for the Navy. During their stay, their training was conducted entirely at sea.

During their time of their visit, the Bulgarian first-year cadets also had the opportunity to attend the commissioning ceremony of the cadets from Mircea cel Batran Naval Academy.
