Despite the difficult situation in the country and the stepped-up measures to contain the spread of Covid-19, classes at Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy continue.
A remote form of training has been introduced. Lecturers and their civilian and military students fill the virtual classrooms every day. Both the staff and the students were a little anxious and apprehensive at the start of their work together a few days ago, but before long they managed to build a system capable of keeping the training process on, even in a crisis situation.
Lecturers have boasted ‘attendance of almost 100%’. To a large extent, this is due to the recommendation for everybody to stay home, but some students, on their part, have shared that ‘the innovative teaching methods are super’.
The online platform enables the audiovisual contact among all the participants. It also supports the upload of presentations and other materials and literature. The work there gives full value to the training, making it adequate to the circumstances.
